Babcock State Park is a family vacation park covering 4,127 acres of remote wilderness near the New River's mighty whitewater canyon.
The park is famous for its picturesque Glade Creek Grist Mill, which dates to 1890 and sells freshly ground cornmeal and buckwheat flour.
Though the park is closed during winter, the mill area remains open year-round.
Park facilities include picnic and swimming areas, horseback riding, a restaurant, accommodations and many hiking trails.
