State Park Information

The Pierce National Wildlife Refuge is located adjacent to the Columbia River just east of Beacon Rock State Park on Washington State Hwy. 14.

Primary wildlife on the refuge includes Canada geese and other waterfowl, upland birds, mammals and one of the last chum salmon runs on the Columbia River.

The habitat includes 329 acres of river bottomland with vegetation along the riverbanks, as well as open pasture and wooded areas.

The refuge is closed to public use, although group tours can be arranged. The public can view the refuge from the trail leading to Beacon Rock.
