More than 4,500 miles of recreation trails and 5,700 miles of roads provide access to the alpine meadows, mountain lakes and jagged peaks of the 2.2 million-acre Wenatchee National Forest.
Lakes Chelan and Wenatchee and five major reservoirs offer camping, fishing and water sports. Visitors may take a boat tour of Lake Chelan, 55 miles long and 1,500 feet deep, and glimpse mountain goats on the shore.
Enjoy scenic views on the White River auto tour from Lake Wenatchee, on the Bumping River Road and at Miners Ridge, Ravens Roost and White River viewpoints.
The Red Top Agate beds are a favorite spot for rockhounds. Other points of interest are the Liberty National Historic District, the 400-foot Boulder Cave cut by Devil Creek and Naches Trail Wagon Road.
