Burlingame State Park, covering 3,100 acres, offers a wide array of recreational activities from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Swimming, boating and fishing take place in Watchaug Pond in the heart of the park. Hiking is also popular.
The park's 755 RV and tent sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A dump station is available.
The site of the state's first Civilian Conservation Corps camp is in the park. The state Audubon Society's Kimball Wildlife Refuge is adjacent. Several notable Atlantic beaches are nearby.
