State Park Information

The natural beauty of the Ocean State sets the stage for bicycle enthusiasts and East Bay Bike Path is a local favorite.

Stretching 15 scenic miles from Providence to Bristol, the path parallels Providence Harbor and Upper Narragansett Bay. The paved bikeway passes through seaside villages, picture-perfect parks and coastal marshes and ponds.

The paved path is 10 feet wide with four-foot shoulders. It is designed exclusively for walkers and bicycles.

The bike path's northern tip will eventually link to the Blackstone Bikeway presently under construction.

For updates, call the bicycle coordinator of the Rhode Island Department of Transportation at 401-222-2694 ext. 4034.
