Missouri's largest state park cover 17,441 acres, Lake of the Ozarks encompasses wooded hillsides, savannas, stalactite-filled caverns, a lake and miles of shoreline.
Ten multi-use trails journey through oak-hickory forests, across sunny glades and along bluffs overlooking the lake. The park also includes large wilderness areas, including the Patterson Hollow Wild Area. An aquatic trail is marked by buoys along the Glaize Arm of the lake.
Ozark Caverns, in the southern end of the park, are known for their "Angels' Showers," streams of water that pour continuously from the stalactites.
A large developed campground with 182 sites straddles the lake and includes riding stables, boat launches and a swimming beach. Some campsites are wheelchair accessible.
