Named for the impressive boulders rising above Deer Creek, this 885-acre park is a favorite for rock climbing, hiking, fishing and tubing.
Dense forests give way to rock outcroppings, including a 190-foot outcrop named the King and Queen Seat. It was once a ceremonial gathering place of the Susquehannock Native American people.
Hikers enjoy the park’s secluded glens along the shores of Deer Creek and rewarding views of hills and farms from the top of the cliff.
Campfire programs, canoeing, hunting, picnicking, and playgrounds are other attractions.
Universally accessible picnic sites are available at Hills Grove and Rock Ridge.
