This park features giant sequoias, the world's largest trees, and a wide range of year-round recreational activities.
The trees, which grow up to 33 feet in diameter and 325 feet in height, are survivors from prehistoric times, when vast forests of redwoods covered many parts of the northern hemisphere.
Guided foot and bike hikes and campfire programs are offered in summer. Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, camping and fishing are available at this spectacular 6,300-acre park.
There are 130 campsites.
During winter, services are limited and only the North Grove Area is open.
