The Redbud Trail, in the heart of the Cache Creek Natural Area, offers seven miles of hiking and horseback riding over an oak-studded ridge.
The Cache Creek area is a primitive area, closed to motorized vehicles. There are no developed camprgrounds or facilities. Instead, the area is managed to improve habitat for wildlife and rare plants; to protect Native American values and to offer recreation, including wildlife viewing, river running, hiking, horseback riding and fishing.
Cache Creek offers visitors spectacular views of the endangered bald eagle, free-roaming tule elk herd, wild turkey, black bear, black-tailed deer and other upland resources.
A small area may be closed seasonally to protect endangered species habitat.
