Beaver Creek is a Class I, shallow stream that flows through rolling hills and past the jagged limestone peaks of the White Mountains in interior Alaska.
The Bureau of Land Management manages the 110-mile segment within the White Mountains National Recreation Area.
Downstream, it slows and wanders through the marshes of the Yukon Flats on its way north to the Yukon River.
Beaver Creek can be reached via Nome Creek from mile 57 on the Steese Highway. Since there is no road access at take-out points, most paddlers arrange to meet bush pilots on gravel bars.
An extended journey to the Yukon River takes about two to three weeks.
Beaver Creek provides amazing scenery and exciting fishing for arctic grayling, northern pike, burbot and whitefish.
