This park, 12 miles northwest of Tuscaloosa, is named for Alabama's only woman governor, Lurleen B. Wallace.
The park's centerpiece is 250-acre Lake Lurleen. Boat and canoe rentals are available. There is a roped-off swimming area, and anglers fish for bass, crappie, bream and catfish.
Thirty-five of the park's 91 campsites have full hookups, and the remainder have water and electrical service.
Four hiking and biking trails that wind through the 1,625-acre park cover 15 miles.
